One idea tended to lead into another which led to another. Im excited about it all.

For the screen project I was envisioning an installation where my family’s portraits printed on a screen were in succession that you (the viewer) would be able to walk through.
A photo of my GGMA was screen printed onto screen (see below) in green and gray. The green I thought would lend itself to either leaves = tree= family tree or illness=sickness=bacteria.
The green images turned out pretty good on the screen. There’s enough visual information to connect to make a portrait. The gray images completely disappeared. Which is interesting in and of itself.
Either way this combination of window screen and screen printing isn’t communicating the idea. Perhaps a different material? color?
Or maybe I do print images that disappear, but the viewer has to handle the object to see the image.
Disease illness = Check
Takeover of Screen/image = Check
Hmmm but how to incorporate admiration. marinate on this.
